Runway Revolution

Empowering aspiring designers & transforming lives through fashion.

About the Program

Runway Revolution is an intensive 10-week fashion design program designed for aspiring designers ready to learn, create, and showcase their work.

Led by industry professionals, the program covers pattern drafting, garment construction, and sustainable fashion while preparing participants for a final runway showcase.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, the program—valued at $2,000—is subsidized to just $150 per participant, making it accessible to committed creatives.

📆 May 24 – July 26, 2025 (Every Saturdays)
⏰ 11 AM – 5 PM
📍120 West North Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21201
Final Showcase: August 16, 2025

This year, Runway Revolution is expanding its impact with a Survivor Partnership Initiative. Participants will design custom garments for domestic abuse survivors, who will have the opportunity to model them during the final showcase.

This initiative fosters empowerment, confidence, and self-expression while providing survivors with clothing for professional or social use.

Finding my Identity Through fashion
“My collection was inspired by an upside-down wine glass. The structure was unconventional, and it was a challenge to execute, but I learned so much about working with different shapes and textiles.”
Zia Bowen
Pushing Creative Boundaries
“We spent five-hour sessions together, pushing through exhaustion and heat, just to perfect our work. The best part? The friendships we built, the way we supported each other, and the laughter that kept us sane.”
Crystal Bright
The Camaraderie Kept Us Going
“Yelé’s class taught me that perfection isn’t everything. I used to overthink every detail, erasing and redoing my work constantly, but I learned to trust the process. The environment was intense yet supportive, and every session was a mix of hard work and laughter.”
